CALIFORNIA
BRANDY
BrandyLab is a small-batch California brandy crafted in the Central Valley. Rooted in tradition and driven by experimentation, we blend age-old techniques with a fresh perspective to create a brandy that is fruit-forward, oak-balanced, and unmistakably Californian.

BUILT ON CRAFT.
GUIDED BY CURIOSITY.
BrandyLab began as a wild idea — a brandy lab, quite literally — with our team experimenting across barrels, blends, and base spirits to capture the essence of what California brandy should be. That pursuit of balance, clarity, and bold flavor became our north star — and our name.
Each batch is a process of refinement. A push to make something better, deeper, more expressive. That spirit lives in every bottle.
THE PROCESS
We distill on a rare German pot still and a re-engineered column still once used in aerospace — tools chosen for precision and character. Then we take it further, aging our brandy across up to seven different oak barrels to build layered complexity without overpowering the fruit.
The result is a spirit with bright apricot and stone fruit, rounded by notes of vanilla, caramel, cocoa, and almond — smooth, refined, and never masked by wood.

Inspired by tradition.
Driven by innovation.
Crafted in California.
RESPECT FOR AGE
PRESERVATION OF TRADITIONS
Some of the brandy in BrandyLab dates back over a decade. Our former distiller, Tom Vitali, laid the groundwork with a visionary eye for aging — a foundation our current Master Distiller, Erik Ettner, has honored and evolved since taking the reins in 2014.
Today, Erik leads a diverse, multicultural team who bring both technical mastery and a world of sensory influences to the craft. Together, they embody the future of California spirits — inclusive, intentional, and grounded in respect.
MEET THE MAN
BEHIND THE GLASS
Born and raised in California’s Central Valley, Erik began as a lab technician and rose quickly through the ranks, becoming one of the youngest Master Distillers in the U.S. His approach combines precision, patience, and an inventive spirit that defines everything we do.
